Rugby league great suffers heart condition
Balmain Tigers legend Ben Elias has reportedly been hospitalised and diagnosed with a serious heart condition.
According to Fairfax Media reports, Elias, 51, was admitted to the Prince of Wales Hospital in Randwick on Friday.
It is understood he has an abnormality in his heart which was found after a routine health check.
Elias played 14 Tests for Australia and represented New South Wales 22 times in State of Origin.
According to the reports, Elias will remain under supervision while further tests are performed, with early indications suggesting he could require surgery.
