A popular YouTuber is being investigated for trespass after he took footage inside Dezi Freeman’s squalid lair where the fugitive made his last stand.
The Chaos Chronicles posted video from inside the deceased fugitive’s infamous Cosco shipping container hideout at Thologolong, on the Victoria-NSW border.
He revealed a dark and messy hideout crammed with miscellaneous possessions.
While filming inside, the YouTuber describes the “insane” choking smell of chemicals in the air, which police used “to get Dezi out”.
“I can’t speak properly, the chemicals are so strong,” he says on tape.
The content creator, who has followed Freeman’s story, said he went to the property to retrieve his drone, which had crashed.
While there he took a look around and said what he discovered at the site was “questioning”.

One end of the container appears to be a living area with a battery set-up, generator, Esky, kitchen cupboards, cooking utensils, couch and sleeping station.
The other end is crammed with “stuff” in boxes and bags, as well as bedding and cushions, shirts, gas bottle, multivitamins and an AM radio.
The property is strewn with wooden pallets, pipes, concrete sleepers, folding tables and chairs, a ladder and an outdoor wood heater.

Victoria Police said they were investigating a report of a trespass at a property on Murray River Road in Thologolong on April 16.
“Investigators are aware of a video posted online in relation to the trespass and are investigating the circumstances,” a police spokeswoman said.
“The investigation remains ongoing.”
Freeman, 56, was shot dead in a hail of bullets by specialist police on the remote property last month after a seven-month manhunt.
He was wanted for shooting dead Neal Thompson and Vadim de Waart-Hottart, who were among a team of police officers who went to his Porepunkah home in late August to serve an arrest warrant.
There has been much speculation about how Freeman came to be in Thologolong, which is about 150 kilometres from where he fatally shot the two police.
The property is owned by Rick Sutherland, but his brother Neil said he had no idea the fugitive was camped out there.
Sutherland said his brother had been in Tasmania at the time and, unlike Freeman, was not a sovereign citizen.
Investigators are exploring the possibility Freeman had help from others in evading police for 216 days. Victoria Police Chief Commissioner Mike Bush said it would have been very difficult for him to get to the remote hideout without assistance.
