One dead as five people turn up at different hospitals

A man has died in hospital and four other men are in a serious condition after an alleged shooting in Sydney’s south-west.
Police were alerted to the incident when five people with injuries turned up at different hospitals across the city on Tuesday night.
About 8.30pm, police were called to Liverpool Hospital after two men – both believed to be in their 20s – presented with multiple wounds.
One of the men was treated but died a short time later. He is yet to be formally identified.
The other man remains in hospital in a stable condition.
About the same time, two men arrived at Fairfield Hospital in a critical condition and were treated.
Then, about 9.50pm, a man — believed to be a 19-year-old – appeared at Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition. He was treated for injuries.
Police have set up a crime scene at a home in Canley Heights, the location of the suspected shooting.
Officers attached to Fairfield City Police Area Command — with assistance from the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad — are investigating.
