Two teenage boys on a motorbike have died in a horror accident involving a bus in Sydney’s west on Monday night.

Police said a petrol bike collided with the side of a commuter bus on the T-way (a dedicated busway) at Bossley Park about 7.30pm.

The bike got trapped under the bus, with the two teenagers pinned under the vehicle.

The rider – a 15-year-old boy – and his pillion passenger – a 14-year-old boy – were treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics, but both died at the scene.

The bus driver – a 48-year-old man – was uninjured and taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

Passengers onboard the bus were also uninjured.

Local police established a crime scene and began an investigation.

Fairfield City Mayor Frank Carbone called on the NSW government to do something about “illegal e-bikes and motorbikes” on the roads.

“This is what happens when the NSW state government ignores repeated requests for action on illegal e-bikes and motorbikes, which have taken over our T-way,” he posted on Facebook.

“[NSW Premier] Chris Minns, enough of the media releases. It is time for action. Do your job, direct police to act, and respond to the repeated calls our community has been making before someone is seriously injured or worse.”

Anyone with information about the incident, dashcam footage or CCTV, is urged to contact Fairfield City Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
