When it comes to Christmas cheer, this woolly camelid sure does “alpaca” punch.

His name is Hephner and he has all the moxie his name entails.

You might recognise him as the alpaca who sneezed on the King on his royal visit to Australia in 2024.

What people might not know is that Hephner volunteers at retirement homes and hospitals every week, and for that work he’s received the Calvary Bruce Hospital’s Mary Potter Award for Volunteer of the Year 2025.

He has also travelled to almost every state and territory, raising about $30,000 for mental health charities and local families in need – making a difference through shear “wool” power.
