Eliud Kipchoge is in the running world – the greatest marathon runner on the globe.

A two-time Olympic gold medallist, he’s won in Chicago, Berlin and London.

He was the first person on earth to run a marathon in under 2 hours. Sunday’s Sydney marathon, now officially a world major, was his first run down under.

Spectators and even competitors were seen cheering him on as he blazed past.

Despite his immense popularity, Eliud says sometimes he still asks himself, “how did I get here?”

Running over the Harbour Bridge also clearly made an impression on Kipchoge, who added he would put a photo of the experience in his very own home.
