Tensions have remained high in the US Capitol following last week’s deadly riots.

Pro-Trump supporters breached the Capitol building, with violent scenes resulting in five deaths.

Members of the National Guard descended on Washington, keeping a 24-hour watch as the House of Representatives voted on Thursday to impeach Donald Trump for a second time.

Security will remain heightened following the announcement and leading up to the inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden on January 20.
