Four people will face court after a 210-metre burnout mark was left on a road Adelaide’s north during a “gender reveal celebration”.

SA Police said a group of people gathered on Belalie Road in Ingle Farm about 1.15pm on Sunday as a blue Holden Commodore “conducted a burnout … as part of a gender reveal celebration”.

The celebration left a 210-metre burnout mark along the road, with police tracking the vehicle to a nearby Ingle Farm address.

“Following an investigation, the Commodore sedan was located in a garage,” police said.

“The car was subsequently inspected and defected.”

Police said they questioned the group and reported three people – a 20-year-old man from Blakeview, a 20-year-old man from Ingle Farm, and a 38-year-old woman from Glynde – for failing to answer questions.

The Commodore driver, a 22-year-old man from Gilles Plains, presented himself and was reported for misuse of a motor vehicle.

The group of four will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.

The Seven Network reported the baby’s gender was revealed to be a girl, with the car releasing pink smoke.
