Bondi hero shares a powerful message

In the wake of the terror during the Bondi shooting, we have also seen the best of humanity.

Pasha Rahemath was among the strangers who put their lives on the line to help those in danger.

The Uber driver from India was picking up a passenger when the attack started. He ran to help carry victims onto surf rescue boards and stretchers, and into ambulances.

The father of two told 10 News+ that a man died in his arms and that he helped console multiple injured people.

Revisiting the day is difficult for the 37-year-old international student, but he has returned to Bondi to lay flowers and pray for those affected, and is speaking out to shine a spotlight on the good side of humanity.

Rahemath wants to leave Australia with this powerful message: “I think people need to understand that we are humans first. It doesn’t matter where you come from, what religion – nothing. Nothing beyond humanity.”
