Kylie Minogue will open up about her life in an “intimate” three-part documentary that will explore how she became one of pop music’s biggest stars.
The Netflix documentary, titled KYLIE, will look at how Minogue “reshaped pop and became one of music’s most enduring icons”.
It is from the same team behind the streamer’s David Beckham documentary, Beckham.
Featuring footage from home movies, personal photographs and new interviews with Minogue, Netflix said it “examines how she’s faced public scrutiny, personal loss, and illness with grit and grace, earning respect far beyond her own fandom”.
The show will also feature insights from friends, family, and collaborators including her sister Dannii Minogue, Jason Donovan, Nick Cave and Pete Waterman.
It will look at how the Australian star has reinvented herself from acting in Neighbours as Charlene Robinson – the role that first made her famous in the 1980s – to her chart-topping success as a singer across five decades and selling more than 80 million records.
Minogue has spoken previously about her treatment for breast cancer after being diagnosed in 2005.
KYLIE is directed by Emmy and Bafta award winner Michael Harte and produced by John Battsek’s Ventureland.
Netflix said further details, including a release date, would be announced soon.
