Adam Sandler’s ‘creepy, sexist’ outfit demands

It’s no secret there are some serious double standards for women in Hollywood, but this week a particularly unfair demand from a major star came to light.
Actress Rose McGowan has reportedly been fired by her agent for revealing what she described as a “sexist” casting note from an Adam Sandler film.
• Everyone’s big issue with Jurassic World
• Julie Bishop’s crippling fashion addiction
• Steal style tips from these five fashionable men
McGowan took to Twitter to share a screenshot of the casting note, which instructed female actresses to wear revealing clothing to an audition.
While McGowan did not explicitly reveal the name of the male counterpart in the film, she implied that it was comedy star Adam Sandler

Many on Twitter found the note particularly ridiculous given Sandler’s own wardrobe requirements for most of his movies: baseball cap, track pants and t-shirt. Just for emphasis, let’s recap some of Sandler’s red carpet outfits from the past:
It’s a similar story in his films, where he dresses mostly in casual clothes regardless of the occasion. His female costars, however, are typically dressed in skimpy, form-fitting, uncomfortable or revealing clothing.
McGowan is continuing her crusade against sexism in Hollywood and has won the support of fellow actress Jessica Chastain.
As do I. Her treatment confirms the misogyny underpinning the industry. She should be celebrated for speaking out. https://t.co/yUyO0LXkFd — Jessica Chastain (@jes_chastain) June 25, 2015
The general consensus is that something needs to change, particular after a photo hit the web showing a very dressed-up Selena Gomez, 22, posing with her noticeably dressed-down male costars Sandler and Kevin James.

Phashion with Pharrell
Singer Pharrell Williams is nothing short of a fashion pioneer.
Last year, you will remember he singlehandedly started and ended the “oversized hat and tracksuit top” trend (admittedly, it ended because no one else wanted to try the trend).
But not this year. No, this year is the year of the pageboy cap and Hawaiian shirt.
What this means for us common folk, we’re not quite sure. While Pharrell manages to imbue the look with some serious cool factor, we don’t know whether your average Joe would look quite so fashion-forward.
I dream of Eugenie
She might be used to wearing tennis gear 99 per cent of the time, but Eugenie Bouchard still knows how to bring it on the red carpet.
The 21-year-old tennis star got all dressed up for a pre-Wimbledon party in London on Thursday, showing off her stylish side.
Wearing a simple white dress by Ralph Lauren, the Canadian player looked just as gorgeous as she does on the court, albeit a little more polished.
Work it, girl.
