In a handful of teaser posters released by Colombia Pictures, Craig is seen channelling one of his predecessors in a black turtleneck and leather shoulder holster.

The images are reminiscent of Sir Roger Moore in the 1973 Bond film Live and Let Die.

This film will be Craig’s fourth turn as Bond and will hit cinemas on November 6 this year.

Spectre also stars French actress Lea Seydoux, Monica Bellucci, Christoph Waltz and Ralph Fiennes.

A glimpse behind the scenes of the Sam Mendes-directed film was uploaded to Youtube in February, showing the cast filming in the ski resort of Sölden in Austria.
