The coach who showed players pre-game porn

Ex-Real Mallorca boss Joaquin Caparros decided the ideal way to motivate his players before a crucial match in 2012 was to show them a porn movie.
Caparros, preparing his players for a match against Athletic Bilbao in December 2012, diverted away from the usual pre-match team talk.
His side were just one spot above the relegation zone and, in a bid to change things up, he put on an adult film, before telling his players to âplay as hardâ as the movieâs star.

Brazilian defender Anderson Conceicao, who played 16 times for the club that season, told Marca â as reported by The Sun: âIn the pre-match team talk, the gaffer (Caparros) began to show us a video.
âImagine our surprise when we realised we were watching a porn video.
âOur faces must have been a sight because none of us had a clue what we were watching. I guess it was some sort of American film.
âIt didnât last longer than 30 seconds â but it was unforgettable.
âHe told us: âOn the pitch, you need to play as hard as this guyâ, and he pointed at the screen.
âThe coach used the video to try to lift the mood in the squad. He wanted to see a reaction from us all.
âUnfortunately we could not turn things around that day. We lost 1-0.
âBut every time we all talk, we remember that story. Itâs impossible not to end up in fits of laughter. It was hilarious.â
Caparros was eventually sacked â and Real Mallorca were relegated.
The 60-year-old Caparros â who also managed Sevilla, Villarreal and Deportivo La Coruna â is currently out of work.
