Watch: is this the world’s worst wipeout?
Every year, Billabong pays homage to the world of surfing for performance and bravery. These awards are known as the XXL Big Wave awards, and a tour of paid professional surfers compete for them annually. Included in the awards is worst wipeout. Featured here, is Scott ‘Whip” Dennis, a chippy from the NSW South Coast town of Bawley Point with his contender. It was brutal, and he surfaced without injury.
