Daniel Ricciardo: Top Gear’s new top dog
Rising Formula One star Daniel Ricciardo has added another feather to his cap, smashing the ‘star in a reasonably priced car’ lap record on British TV show Top Gear.
The segment puts celebrities behind the wheel of a passenger car and asks them to show us their fastest lap around the Dunsfold Aerodrome track in Surrey.

Ricciardo clocked a time of 1 minute 42.2 seconds, knocking F1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton off top spot by 0.7 of a second.

After it was revealed Ricciardo was the new top dog, he said: “This is how I felt after Canada.” Ricciardo’s maiden Grand Prix win came in Montreal last year.
