Ten injured as ‘Sunday Funday’ ends in shooting

At least 10 people have been taken to hospitals following a shooting at party at a lake near Oklahoma City, police have confirmed.
A spokesperson for the local Edmund police department, Emily Ward, said authorities received multiple reports of shots being fired at a gathering of young people near Arcadia Lake about 9pm Sunday (local time), according to a report from The Associated Press.
State highway patrol and city police and fire officials flocked to the scene after a flurry of emergency calls.
There are multiple reports that two gunmen wearing ski masks opened fire at the event, which was dubbed “Sunday Funday” promised “food, drinks and music all night”.
Ward said more victims might have driven themselves to hospital. She said they were in “various conditions”.
Local media was reporting at midnight local time that it was unclear if there had been any fatalities.
Other partygoers are reported to have fled into the surrounding bushland.
No one has yet been arrested but police said they did not believe there was any ongoing threat.
Arcadia Lake is about 21 kilometres north of Oklahoma City in the suburb of Edmond, a city of about 100,000. It is is a popular place for picnicking, camping, fishing and water sports.
