A woman and child have been found dead at an expensive Airbnb-listed home in the leafy Brisbane suburb of Kenmore Hills.
Detectives are investigating after the bodies of a 54-year-old Norman Park woman and an eight-year-old girl were located during a welfare check on Monday.
The two were known to each other, with media reporting they were mother and daughter.
“Police and emergency services were called to a property at Tinarra Crescent in relation to a welfare check at 12.43pm,” Queensland Police said.
“A crime scene has been declared, and investigations are underway into the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
“There is no ongoing threat to the public.”

Investigators asked anyone with information or relevant footage to come forward.
The three-bedroom, two-bathroom, multimillion-dollar home was reportedly listed on Airbnb for about $1000 a night.
The gated property, with manicured hedges and a long driveway, is nestled in bushland bordering Brisbane’s Mount Coot-tha forest.
Listings show it has an eight-metre infinity pool on the 10,117-square-metre block.
