Snoop Dogg’s special gift to Melbourne schoolkids

Snoop D-O-double-G has come good on a promise he made to a group of young Aussie students at Melbourne’s Warringa Park School last year.

After visiting the budding musicians and writing a (catchy) song with them, he vowed to send back equipment to replace their old gear.

This was, of course, music to their ears and today their new kit arrived.

“It was an incredible moment which really was about student voice … they really felt valued and heard,” principal Ashwini Sharma said.

“When it arrived, we saw that same excitement and joy.”

In Snoop’s last trip Down Under, he kept it very real with his performance at the AFL grand final, as well as kicking a footy with the likes of Nick Daicos.

From his iconic friendship with Martha Stewart, to his own cookbook From Crook To Cook, the Doggfather has joked about his transition from self-proclaimed gangster to wholesome uncle and these young musos were definitely here for it.
