Man shot at hospital after alleged knife threat

A man has been shot by police in Queensland after allegedly threatening them with a knife.

Police were called to Kingaroy Hospital at 7.20pm on Friday.

Medical assistance was provided to the man before he was flown to the Sunshine Coast Hospital.

A crime scene was established and investigations are continuing.

The matter is under investigation subject to oversight by the Crime and Corruption Commission.

Police have asked for anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.
