The phone’s owner, named in the clip as Sylvestre, said he was walking near Stade de France and finished a call just as explosions rocked the French capital.

“The time he took to hang up, I was crossing the street and straightaway, boom, it exploded right in front of me,” Sylvestre said in translated comments.

“Everything was blown to bits. I felt stuff flying around and I left.

“I fell and got back up and that is when you saw me. You were already there.

“This is the cell phone that took the hit.

“It is what saved me, otherwise my head would have been blown to bits.”
