Woman, hit by stolen BMW, dies

A woman has died after a crash involving a stolen BMW allegedly driven by a teenage boy in Melbourne’s east early this week.

The 47-year-old woman from Carrum Downs died in hospital on Thursday.

A 15-year-old boy is accused of crashing the car into the woman’s vehicle in Mordialloc on Monday morning.

On Tuesday, the Patterson Lakes boy was charged with reckless conduct placing a person in danger of death, reckless conduct placing a person in danger of serious injury and other traffic offences.

He was also charged with aggravated burglary and the theft of a number of vehicles.

He has been remanded in custody to appear in the Children’s Court.
