Andrew Bolt suggests new party

Controversial columnist Andrew Bolt has suggested rogue Liberal Senator Cory Bernardi should cut ties and lead his own âconservativeâ political party.
Appearing on The Project on Tuesday night, Mr Bolt said there was definitely room for this new party, which would sit significantly to the right of Malcolm Turnbullâs Liberals and their National Party colleagues, Fairfax Media reported.

â˘Â Refugee crisis becoming âopportunistic cycleâ

Bolt told the audience he had received â1000 comments and emailsâ, with â99 per centâ of the authors swearing to never vote Liberal again after the leadership change.
âWhere are they going to go?â he asked.
In response to a question, Bolt agreed Mr Bernardi could be the man for the job.
âI must say, there is talk â really loose talk, Iâm not beating it up into something bigger than it is â of where is there a party for conservatives? Will there be, in the future, a party for conservatives? I think that might turn out to be the problem. In the Senate you might get conservatives thinking, âIâll vote for someone elseâ.â
South Australian Senator Bernardi has been recently slammed â by colleagues and the opposition â for describing Syrian asylum seekers as âopportunisticâ and linking same-sex relations to bestiality.
