Sydney factory fire under control

A fire that destroyed a furniture factory at Yennora in Sydney’s south-west has been brought under control.
Buildings surrounding the John Cootes Furniture warehouse on Orchardleigh Street in Yennora were under threat from the blaze which broke out at 12.30pm.

“[Firefighters] did a fantastic job in reducing fire risk to any of the [buildings at risk],” a spokesman told reporters.
Approximately 130 firefighters were reportedly involved in fighting the blaze.
All staff were evacuated safely, with no injuries reported.
