Qantas flight forced into detour

A Qantas flight made an unscheduled landing in Sydney due to mechanical issues at around 1pm on Tuesday.
Qantas Flight QF93 left Melbourne for LAX Airport in Los Angeles, but had to make the detour due to engine complications.

Fairfax Radio reported that engineers were assessing the aircraft, after landing safely at Sydney Airport.
The plane was due to recommence its flight from Sydney at 5.10pm.
