Panda remains were recovered from a forest in Yunnan province, China Central Television reported.
The two chief suspects, believed to be male, sold 35 kilograms of panda meat and four paws for the equivalent of almost $1,000 Australian dollars, authorities claimed.
One of the suspects was thought to have located the black-and-white bear after he set a trap to catch wild animals that had been killing his sheep, police said.
All of the suspects face lengthy jail sentences for poaching the bear, which is listed as endangered.
