Aussies’ weird and wacky 2025 search history revealed

The results are in and Australia’s Google trends this year have been eye-opening indeed.

Based on this year’s latest data trends, Aussies are avid weather watchers. Our most searched Google topic was “Cyclone Alfred”.

We’re also an engaged bunch, with our No.1 “how to” trend being “how to vote” (one would hope we’d know a least a little on that one). The federal election slotted in as our third-most searched topic overall.

Don’t let it be said we’re not versatile, our fifth-most Googled recipe was a porn star martini (make of that what you will).

Apparently, we also have a penchant for the Irish, as a whole lot of us googled St Patrick’s Day.

Shocking no one, sport was also big on the agenda, with the phrase “India vs England” making it to top eight overall, but No.1 sporting-wise. Until next year.
