Prince William’s ‘eye-watering’ annual income revealed

The Prince and Princess of Wales’ eye-watering income has been revealed in a report released by the Duchy of Cornwall.

Prince William’s income is derived from the Duchy of Cornwall estate — which reportedly includes more than 52,000 hectares of land, farms and houses sprawling across 23 counties in England.

He inherited the title and estate from the King when his father ascended to the throne in 2022 after the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

The Duchy of Cornwall’s report for the 2024-2025 financial year reveals William and wife Kate earned £22.9 million ($46.05 million).

The money is to cover the public, private and charitable expenses of the couple and their children Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7.

As a working royal, William reportedly doesn’t earn a salary for his duties.

His expenses are covered by the Duchy, which was established by King Edward III in 1337 to fund the heir to the throne.

It is reportedly worth more than $1.5 billion today.

William’s eldest son George is expected to inherit the Duchy when his father eventually becomes king.

King, William expected to visit US

Meanwhile, the King and William will reportedly visit the US in 2026 as negotiations over a British trade deal with America continue.

Advanced talks on the King’s visit are said to be under way, with the prince likely to make a separate visit during the FIFA World Cup later in the year, according to The Times newspaper.

The visits would coincide with the 250th anniversary of the signing of the US declaration of independence from Britain, and would be the first by a British monarch since 2007.

But it would also come as Britain continues efforts to finalise a trade deal with the US, after Washington reportedly paused the tech partnership announced during President Donald Trump’s state visit to the UK in September.

Earlier in December, the British government said it was still in “active conversations” with the US on the tech deal.

The Times suggested the King’s visit to the US could be in April.

William, who is president of the Football Association, could then visit during the World Cup, which will be played in the US, Canada and Mexico between June and July.
