Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban split after 19 years

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have separated after almost 20 years of marriage, according to multiple reports.
“Sometimes relationships just run their course,” an unnamed source has told The New York Post, confirming the split.
The Australian actor and country music singer have been living apart since June, according to entertainment website TMZ.
As recently as June, Kidman shared a photo of herself cuddled up to Urban on instagram to commemorate their wedding anniversary.
It is believed Urban, 58, has moved out of the couple’s Nashville home, and reports say Kidman is desperate to save the relationship.
“She didn’t want this,” another unnamed source told People magazine. “She has been fighting to save the marriage.”
The duo share two children, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.
“Nicole’s sister [Antonia] has been a rock and the entire Kidman family has come together to support one another,” People‘s source said.
Another insider told the magazine the news might be a shock to Hollywood, but those in the pair’s inner circle wouldn’t be surprised.
“People close to Keith felt like the split was kind of inevitable,” the source said.
“They’ve been living separately for a while now.”
Kidman has been filming Practical Magic 2 in London in recent weeks. Two weeks ago, she posted a short video, captioning it: “That’s a wrap on Practical Magic 2! Thank you to the cast & crew for all your magic.”
Last week, she posted a video from the Nashville Film Festival at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.
“So nice to be at home celebrating film,” she wrote with it.
Urban, meanwhile, has been on tour. His next concert will be in Pennsylvania on Thursday.
Speculation about the couple’s relationship began in recent weeks, when Kidman applied for a residency permit for Portugal. Urban’s absence from the paperwork raised eyebrows, but insiders insisted it was down to scheduling.
“Keith is scheduled to have an appointment at the visa office at a later date as his tour schedule conflicted with the date that Nicole and their daughters were able to secure while Nicole is currently shooting Practical Magic 2 in the UK,” the source said.
Urban made headlines in July after apparently abruptly ending an interview with an Adelaide radio station after being quizzed on Kidman’s steamy sex scenes.
“What does Keith Urban think when he sees his beautiful wife with beautiful younger men … having these beautiful love scenes on TV?” Mix 102.3 host Max Burford asked him.
Urban suddenly disappeared from the call, with another voice saying he’d been “disconnected from Zoom”.

While neither party has yet confirmed the split, it isn’t the first time they have separated.
Just months after they married, Urban, a recovering alcoholic and drug user, fell off the wagon – and they spent some time apart before reuniting.
The couple have said they had a pact never to spend more than two weeks apart, which meant if both were working abroad they would come together for at least one night.
In January, Urban thanked Kidman – affectionately calling her “Nicole Mary” – while being inducted into the Roll of Renown at the Golden Guitar country music awards in Tamworth.
Kidman was unable to watch him accept the Australian country music honour because she was filming in Nashville and Germany, he said.
“I want to thank our girls, Sunday and Faith,” he said during his acceptance speech.
“I couldn’t be here without the three of them and their love.”
Kidman and Urban’s last joint public appearance was at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup match between Los Angeles Football Club and Esperance de Tunis in Nashville in June.
The couple married on June 25, 2006, about a year after first meeting at the G’Day USA gala in January 2005.
Kidman was previously married to Tom Cruise from 1990 to 2001. She and the Top Gun actor share two adult children: Bella, 32, and Connor, 30.
