Dance battle for Irish presidency as Conor McGregor and Michael Flatley face off

It’s the land of saints and scholars, but could Conor McGregor be Ireland’s next President?
Not if Michael Flatley – the man who made Irish dancing sexy one missing shirt button at a time – makes an official run.
The ‘Lord of the Dance’ claims he insured his legs for over 50 million dollars in the 90s. Now he’s eyeing off a tilt for the Irish presidency later this year.
McGregor announced his bid for the Uachtarán na hÉireann (Irish presidency) back in March, having previously expressed anti-immigration sentiments.
Last year a civil trial found the former UFC Champion raped a woman in a Dublin hotel in 2018, with a judge ordering him to pay her nearly half a million dollars in damages.
If Flatley wants to go toe-to-toe with McGregor both men will need nominations from at least 20 members of the Irish parliament or four whole local councils. Making it difficult either to get their names on the ballot paper.
