‘An overreaction’ : Kyle Sandilands’ text message to Jackie O amid ongoing fallout

Breakfast radio host Kyle Sandilands has addressed his on-air clash with Jackie O Henderson, denying the public spat signals the end of their decades-long relationship, despite the radio silence between them.
The KIIS FM star told 10 News+ he has not spoken to Henderson by phone or in person since criticising her work ethic and interest in astrology live on-air more than 10 days ago.
However, Sandilands confirmed he did send Henderson a brief text message apologising if he had “hurt her feelings.”
“I think that I’ve obviously hurt her feelings. But I think that maybe something else is going on because it seems to be a bit of an overreaction,” he said.
According to Sandilands, Henderson responded days later, saying she “just needs to take a beat”. However, communication between the co-hosts has since stalled.
The development comes as Henderson was expected to return to KIIS FM Monday morning, and did not. Her absence now appears likely to extend for at least another week.
With tensions lingering and fans speculating about the future of one of Australian radio’s most high-profile partnerships, the question remains – is this a temporary setback, or a turning point for the show?
