While The Studio and Severance were busy dominating the Emmy Awards on Monday, for many the real show judging was taking place on the red carpet.
Jenna Ortega caused a sensation before the show by going “topless” (not really), while for most other attendees at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles simplicity was the order of the day.
Cate Blanchett may have missed out on a leading actress award for Disclaimer, but the Australian’s backless jumpsuit with a plunging neckline was both daring and debonaire.

Wednesday star Ortega had tongues wagging before the show began with a dress that was a far cry from her Addams Family character.
Her gemstone-covered halter top from Givenchy’s Awas paired a bold, sparkling top with a sleek black pencil skirt and inky platform heels.
Selena Gomez chose a Louis Vuitton gown she accessorised with Tiffany & Co. jewellery and and Santoni sandals.
The Last of Us nominee Pedro Pascal managed to fit an appearance in between the seemingly dozens of projects he’s involved in to show off a cream and white Celine outfit with sunglasses.
Sydney Sweeney shrugged off her denim controversy to slip on a custom Oscar de la Renta gown accessorised with more than 175 carats of Lorraine Schwartz diamonds.
Australia’s Shabana Azeez, one of the stars of The Pitt, kept the red theme going with a flowing gown and Dina Kemp rings.
Emmy winner Seth Rogan, who helped carry home The Studio‘s awards haul, was giving off Golden Gaytime vibes alongside wife Lauren Miller.
Singer Lisa (Lalisa Manoban), who made her acting debut in The White Lotus this year, appeared to paying homage to My Little Pony with her Lever Couture gown.
The White Lotus co-star Walton Goggins couldn’t resist showing off his trademark bare chest while sporting a Louis Vuitton single-breasted tuxedo jacket and silk dress shirt and black trousers.
