A range of popular snack bars sold at major retailers across Australia has been recalled amid a contamination threat.
Nestle Australia issued the order for four of its range of Milo Snack Bars through Food Standards Australia and New Zealand on Saturday.
The bars have been widely sold across the country at Coles, Woolworths, Aldi and independent grocers such as IGA in all states and territories, as well as online.
The recall is due to the potential presence of black rubber in the food.
“Food products containing black rubber may cause illness/injury if consumed,” the FSANZ notice said.
“Consumers should not eat this product. Consumers should return the product(s) to the place of purchase for a full refund. Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice.”
More information is available from Nestle Australia on 1800 152 126 or through the company’s website.
